EDOTCO Bangladesh, a leading connectivity infrastructure services company, has launched its newly modernized 5G ready Tower Operation Centre (TOC) in the country. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to serve as a real-time monitoring hub, enabling seamless management of telecom towers nationwide with enhanced operational efficiency, connectivity, and energy optimization, according to an EDOTCO press release.
The inauguration event was graced by notable figures, including BTRC Chairman Major General Md Emdadul Bari (retd), Malaysian High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman, and EDOTCO Bangladesh Country Managing Director Sunil Issac.
In his address, Major General Md Emdadul Bari emphasized that connectivity remains a critical pillar for socio-economic development in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. He highlighted the importance of expanding connectivity infrastructure while fostering an ecosystem that supports modern, technology-driven operational facilities. The BTRC chairman expressed his hope that EDOTCO Bangladesh would continue contributing meaningfully to the industry by adopting innovative strategies and operational excellence, thereby ensuring seamless connectivity for all.
Malaysian High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman noted that EDOTCO has been at the forefront of innovation over the past decade, significantly contributing to Bangladesh’s digital transformation agenda. He pointed out that with its young, tech-savvy population and growing digital economy, Bangladesh holds immense potential to become a regional digital hub. He reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment, through EDOTCO, to share its expertise to accelerate Bangladesh’s connectivity goals.
Sunil Issac expressed immense pride in the new TOC, describing it as a milestone for the industry. He stated that the digital, data-driven facility would optimize tower operations, ensure network reliability, and support Bangladesh’s digital transformation agenda. Sunil also emphasized EDOTCO’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities and driving economic progress through robust telecom infrastructure.
